The report from MacAfee, the antivirus and computer security company suggests that Google android has become the number one target of hackers and it also says that the recent attacks from “hacktivism” groups like “Lulz security” and Anonymous helped in driving massive increase in online attacks.

And according to another new reportfrom security researchers from Kaspersky lab, the growing popularity of QR (Quick Response) on smart phones has become the most recent medium to distribute malwares on android phones. Hackersare using QR codes posted on websites to redirect smart phones (mostly android) to other sites hosting an Android Trojans.
Once user scans QR codes using special applications, it redirects them to a site that installs Trojans on their android phones. And after installation Trojans will send number of sms to premium rate numbers which will end up costing the victim some money that depends on how quickly user can find and remove the Trojans.
How can you protect your android from being hacked?
Its simple thing, just use a good antivirus and keep on updating regularly. Most of android users do not use any kind of security (I.e. antivirus), and if they use it they do not update it regularly. Due to this reason it is easy thing to hack android for hackers and promote their malware and Trojans .So the best way to protect your one is using security applications. Thousands of new malwares come up every day so you must update your antivirus regularly. And another thing, do not download any untrusted applications which are free.
